My First Supper Club - At Isaac, Brighton

I'm just going to put this out there, I'm not a fancy gal. Yes, I'm partial to the finer things in life (who isn't) but I'd much prefer a relaxed, casual atmosphere to a posh, swanky affair. So when I was invited to try out a new supper club in Brighton, I got a little nervy. Will I use the right cutlery? Will I know how to eat what I'm eating (example, when I first ate edamame beans I ate the whole thing)? These were all real worries before I stepped into Isaac At in Brighton, but I really shouldn't have fretted at all.

After a friendly greeting form the host Sophia, I sat down with two lovely food bloggers Foodie Eshe and Hunger In The Laine and felt instantly at home. The big long tables encouraged lots of chatting and it felt like being invited round to a friend's for dinner (only with really, really excellent food).

Oh the food! I don't think I have ever eaten so well. The menu is set for you, which is perfect if (like me) you have no idea what goes well with what. Before each course Isaac and his fellow chefs gave a brief introduction to what we were about to eat which was very insightful.

After a few hours of delicious food and lovely company, I was sad to leave At Isaac! There was such a lovely warm atmosphere, it really was one of the nicest meals out I've had in Brighton. I can't wait to take more people there to experience it! If you fancy trying it (or other supper clubs) yourself you can book at Tabl
