Take Me Back To Symi

This post has been a long time coming, but I'd like to think of it as my last holiday hoorah! It may have been over a month ago now but the beauty of Symi is still with me, it really was one of the most stunning places I've ever been!

We got a (very windy) boat from Rhodes and first stopped off at the famous monastery on the island. The water was crystal clear and dotted with boats and yachts and the church was beautiful with amazing detail and gorgeous flowers everywhere. It was really quite idyllic.

We then went to the other side of the island to visit the harbour. By this point it was bloody boiling so we couldn't really explore as much as I would have liked to, but we look in the lovely scenery and popped along to a little beach to take a dip. It took all my control not to slip on the rocks but eventually I got in and bobbed around for a bit and showed off my primary school swimming skills.

Symi really felt like an untouched Greek island, all the locals were so friendly and everything looked really authentic, and well..beautiful! It seemed like quite a quiet island (which suits me well) and I'd love to stay longer there - it seems like the perfect place to unwind, eat good food and truly relax. Take me back please!
