Lifestyle: 3 Nights In Paris

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that I've been in Paris for the last few days. I'd never actually been before so my trip was packed full of all the main sights - sometimes it's nice to just embrace your inner tourist, put your Canon round your neck and just dive right in.

When we weren't in line to see the next 'sight' we spent our days wondering around the beautiful streets. Seriously - every street we went down was stunning, even the slightly shabbier streets were still pretty with cute little balconies with flowers on them.

Some highlights were climbing all the way to the Sacre Coeur (we missed the funicular) for an amazing view across Paris, exploring Le Marais area which was just next to our hotel, eating snails (surprisingly yummy), wondering round the Palace of Versailles and wondering if Kimye stood where I stood, and getting sweaty palms on the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower (absolutely no way I was going to the top).

One final thing if you are thinking of going to Paris in August - a lot of things are closed! Not the tourist attractions, they'll be open rain or shine, but we walked to a number of restaurants and cafes that were recommended to us only to find it was shut. Apparently August is when a lot of Parisians shut up shop and go on theirs holidays - who knew!
