Hair: Milkmaid Heidi Braids

Just wanted to share with you one of my favourite hairstyles at the moment - folky, milkmaid-style braids. My hair is not quite long enough for me to be able to do the top neatly but...I don't really care, who is really looking at the top of my head anyway.

I basically just plait my hair in low pigtails and pin one plait up at the time with a hella load of bobby pins (no prizes for being able to spot them!).

In other news, I think I might be splashing out on a new camera soon. I really want to up my photography and editing game and I'm getting a little frustrated with my current camera not really being up to scratch. The DSLR I have my eye on also has a flip screen, so I'll be able to do youtube videos easier. I really enjoyed filming my latest video (you can find it here if you haven't watched it yet) and I've loved all the sweet comments - so thank you if you gave it a watch, very kind of you!

  1. Love the picture, so pretty, I don't think the bobby pins are that noticeable to be honest. I've been on about trying this hairstyle for so long, it looks so nice and different thanks for sharing :) x

  5. I keep trying to do this hairstyle on myself but I think I look a bit odd! It's probably because I am so used to wearing my hair down loose. I might have to give it a few more attempts!

    1. it is strange when you're used to seeing yourself with the same type of hair style and then suddenly you switch it up! put it on your blog if you do try it and I can have a nose! LV x

  6. You look so pretty, I tried it on myself but it dosen't really suit me. I am so temped to do two pony tails on the side, is that really bad for a 20yr girl? Let just pretend I am 14 again, why not. x

    1. aww well you have to try these things to know - and yer I think the two ponytails would look cute! Or maybe if you separated them in two, twisted them, and then pinned it up. Could look horrendous in real life but you never know! LV x
