Although I hate to be talking about the colder months whilst it's baking outside (for British standards), I couldn't resist having a peek at the some of the AW14 arrivals at Whistles. So - full disclosure - I've never actually bought anything from Whistles as it's always been out of my price range (if I bought all of my wish list items it would cost me a cool £1,1150) but I like it to get inspiration as they always seem to be on point for what I'm looking for.
As you can see, this Autumn/Winter I want to have quite a neutral palette with splashes of metallic silver. I want to try new shapes, like a turtle neck knit - I really like its 90's feel and I can imagine it's super cosy. I also want to try and keep my legs out for as long as possible, I think a floaty midi skirt with a soft knit has the potential of looking rather nice with either a leather jacket or a boyfriend coat.
Let me know what you think of these picks - are you going to be going simplistic this winter or bright and bold?
Also, quick last note, I have internet in my new house so I'll actually be able to blog now! I have some big plans for this blog so watch this space!
